Mirrors are traditionally used to reflect ourselves. This “mirror effect” is then transported into cylindrical shaped glass, thus creating a new unusual way of experiencing glass. The inner surface of a glass cylinder is coated with a silver layer, which can be partially translucent by regulating the thickness of the coating. Visually a “mirror space” is then created, which allows the user to see both sides of the mirror surface in one same perspective. Together with the special optical features of the glass affected by the thick wall of glass, a combined material experience therefore is created. The lamp shade allows the light to shine in two different directions, each with its individual intensity. According demand, it can be rotated to adapt the illumination and create different indoor environments.
